Maritime law and Charter Parties in Asbatankvoy.com

A vessel has loaded our cargo and discharged it at destination. Now we have problems in regards of short cargo discrepancy . we don have a signed contract . Do we have any chance since we have chartered the vessel by Mail and by a broker and not a signed contract exist?

If through the email, it can tell that all the terms and conditions are agreed by both parties, the contract shall be deemed as an effective one, provided that there is no signature requirement for the effectiveness of the contract in the contract.

Exactly, the emails have the same validity of a signed contract in most respects. So whatever was agreed in the emails will apply.
